Notes/Trivia:
- The Hours was Virginia Woolf's original title for Mrs Dalloway.
- Michael Cunningham's novel The Hours won the 1999 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. Cunningham has a cameo in the film as a man outside the flower shop.
- To make her look like Virginia Woolf, Nicole Kidman wore a prosthetic nose. The Academy's Makeup branch disqualified the film from the Oscar because digital touch-ups were done on close-ups of Kidman.
