Notes/Trivia:
  • Feature film debut of  writer/director Mark Christopher.
  • Ryan Phillippe's character is based on Tieg Thomas, who worked at Studio 54 from 1977 to 1982.
  • Casting Call: Dolph Lundgren and James Marsden.
  • In addition to Steve Rubell, Truman Capote and Andy Warhol appear as characters in the film.
  • Celebrities who make cameos during the nightclub scenes include Peter Bogdanovich, Cindy Crawford, Sheryl Crow, Art Garfunkel, Thelma Houston, Ron Jeremy, Heidi Klum, Lorna Luft, Valerie Perrine and Donald Trump.
  • In 2008, writer/director Mark Christopher assembled a bootleg "Director's Cut" of the film with 45 minutes of never before seen footage and unofficially screened it at New York's Outfest. This version reinstated the blatant promiscuity and bisexuality of Ryan Phillippe's character, as well as the film's core love triangle between Phillippe, Salma Hayek and Breckin Meyer (including a kiss between Phillippe and Meyer), which Miramax forced him to cut from the original release.
